“Watch as a cavalcade of classic boardgames from your childhood meet an untimely demise, all for the sake of dubstep

This is a short story told on a big wall at Village Underground in Shoreditch, London

loved it!

A short film by Siri Melchior The film was made using thousands of potato prints which were then scanned in and used as textures for the animation. The film was a co-production between Trunk Animation in London and Dansk Tegnefilm in Denmark. for more information visit www.trunk.me.uk

A young woman discovers that she is late for a date so heads home to get ready.  Unfortunately for her, the mirror in her bedroom has altogether different ideas!  That is the basic premise of Reflection, an animated short by Paris based creative team Planktoon.

“Dancing Coca-Cola bottles have been leaping inside our computers quite a long time. We created this Coca-Cola promo film for Eyeka co-creation community contest in 2010. As there were no scenario restrictions we have decided to withdraw this massively popular product from tradicional soft drink’s settings and interpreted it just as well-recognizable object, red topped white glass bottle with brown drink inside. This is what happens when legendary image meets sounds of the harp in sterile neutral space. Note, this is not official video.”

Another Oscar nominated animated short. Enjoy!

“Every Sunday, it’s the same old routine! The train clatters through the village and almost shakes the pictures off the wall. In the church, Dad dreams about his toolbox. And of course later Grandma will get a visit and the animals will meet their fate.”

Nominated for an Oscar® for Best Animated Short at the 2012 Academy Awards

This animated short tells the story of a dapper young remittance man, sent from England to Alberta to attempt ranching in 1909. However, his affection for badminton, bird watching and liquor leaves him little time for wrangling cattle. It soon becomes clear that nothing in his refined upbringing has prepared him for the harsh conditions of the New World. A film about the beauty of the prairie, the pangs of homesickness and the folly of living dangerously out of context.”

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is one of this year’s Oscar nominees for best Animated Short Film. Haven’t seen such a good one for a long time!
