The Missing Scarf is a 2013 computer animated short film directed by Eoin Duffy, produced by Jamie Hogan & narrated by George Takei. The film was shortlisted for the 86th Academy Awards.

In a world of wrinkled paper, at the seaside, a girl sits on the rocks and gazes at the wrinkled horizon. Drops of memory from the days when her beloved one was alive trickle into her imagination. But what happens when reality and imagination get mixed? What step will pull her out of her sense of endless drowning?

Superb up-and-coming multimedia Chinese animation artist, Lei Lei, also know as “Ray” Lei, has crafted a new hallucinatory animated short that follows a protagonist on a quest through an imaginary world inspired by vintage book covers.

The story takes place in Lisbon at the time of the great maritime discoveries. Explorers, looking like pigs, arrive in the harbour after a long voyage across the oceans. Everywhere in the city small groups gather and congratulate each other. Couples meet again after a long separation and hug one another. They organize spontaneous round dances and celebrate their return. Meanwhile, a young pig has the strange feeling of being completely isolated from the others in his own native city…

Mister De Vries (93) sits at his window awaiting his death. Until one cold winter day he is surprised by the arrival of a parcel. When he subsequently sees a pigeon flying off he knows that this is no ordinary message. His time has come. Mister De Vries momentarily hesitates to open it. When he chances it, he finds his old Frisian skates. There’s only one thing to be done.

Mountains resound with bird cries as a strong wind blows through the gorges. The widow Caillou is climbing up to a house where she lives all by herself. She chops up several logs to keep her company. She has lost everything else. She puts one log into a child’s bed and immerses herself in memories…

WIND is an animated short about the daily life of people living in a windy area who seem helplessly exposed to the weather. However, the inhabitants have learned to deal with their difficult living conditions. The wind creates a natural system for living.
